Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller is a battalion commander in the US Navy.
He was reportedly removed from his post after Scheller posted a video that went viral on Facebook calling for accountability following the attack. of the Islamic State in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Why The Marine Commander Relieved Over Video?
Scheller called for responsibility in the viral video. “I want to say it very emphatically,” he said in the video. “I have been fighting for 17 years. I’m willing to go to any length to say to my top executives: I demand responsibility.”
Now Scheller is said to have been relieved of his command. “The naval officer who filmed a viral video in which he called the senior military and civilian officials about failures in Afghanistan was relieved of his command on Friday for lack of confidence,” he said.
