Sindh Govt Will Commence The Covid Vaccination Campaign in Schools And Colleges From 6th September

Sindh’s health and education departments are set to launch a Covid vaccination campaign in schools and universities across the province starting 6th September.

Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah announced the decision on Saturday after chairing a meeting at the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Schools in Sindh.

It was reported that all 9th-grade students would be vaccinated against the new coronavirus while obtaining parental consent.

Shah called on parents and staff to support the mass vaccination campaign.

He added that if the administrators and parents of private schools did not want their educational institutions to be closed for long periods of time; they should help the government immunize the masses.

Educational institutions had been asked to work with competent higher education officials to vaccinate students and to provide Ministry of Health teams with the necessary premises and facilities for this purpose.

On the 31st of August, the Sindh Department of Education and Literacy introduced mandatory vaccination for pre-school and high school students.

An official statement from the Ministry of Education said that affected students in all public and private educational institutions in the province should be vaccinated against the new disease.
