Radhe Trailer: Shows Salman Khan as Salman Khan in another release of Salman Khan’s Eid

The trailer of the much-awaited Eid release Radhe has been out and it looks like we cannot expect anything new. The 2.48-minute long trailer is a miss-mash of Salman Khan films Dabangg, Sultan, and Kick that have already released in the past. Even the dialogues and lines spoke by Salman Khan are similar to his previous movies, while not making much sense.

But Prabhudeva’s guidance appears to be a repetition of some of Salman’s earlier efforts. So much so that the actor’s roles in films like Kick, Ek Tha Tiger, Bharat and Wanted have also portrayed him in very similar, if not identical, ways.

Salman’s role in Radhe is nothing new or experimental. Bollywood’s love affair with cop films continues when we see the superstar in a police officer avatar doing his dirty work for a bigger cause.

Aside from Radhe, the plot of the good and the bad guy has been overdone in the Indian film industry. And somehow it still works. To be honest, this was expected. But Bollywood keeps making money with boring stories.

The film will be a success, we all know that. Because sells masala and Salman knows how to make it perfect. However, one has to wonder why the actor has only become obsessed with one genre of films lately rather than experimenting.

Don’t get us wrong; It’s a stellar start and the box office figures speak for themselves. But a star of his caliber and fanaticism could do more with the projects he undertakes.

Radhe’s trailer doesn’t deliver anything new or fresh. For nearly three minutes, audiences watch flying punches, monotonous dialogue, and repetitive romance. If I wanted to see Salman as a cop, squashing bad guys and cheesy jokes, I’d do a Dabangg rerun. Radhe: The Most Wanted Bhai, produced by Sohail Khan, is scheduled for May 13 this year.
