Punjab Police Act on Political Slogans at PSL Event: Fans Arrested, Video Goes Viral!

On Saturday, during the inaugural match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Punjab Police took action to remove a political party supporter from the venue.

As the match progressed between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, disturbances arose in the crowd when certain supporters began chanting slogans in favor of a political party.

Responding to the situation, Punjab Police intervened and conducted a crackdown within Gaddafi Stadium, resulting in the removal of a spectator who was chanting slogans in support of the political party associated with former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

 

The recent general elections in Pakistan have left the populace politically charged and divided, leading to heightened political fervor among the citizens.

The opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League featured captivating performances by Noori, Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, and the legendary Arif Lohar, setting a lively atmosphere for the audience.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, Islamabad United watched as Lahore Qalandars showcased an impressive batting display, amassing a total of 195-5 in the first innings, propelled by half-centuries from Rassie Van der Dussen and Sahibzada Farhan.
