PTI Imran Khan Injured in Firing During Long March

Former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, Senator Faisal Javed, and other party leaders were injured after shots were fired at the Long Walk container.

According to the sources, the shooting happened during the Long March detention center at Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad.

PTI chief Fawad Chaudhry has confirmed that Imran Khan was shot in the leg in a targeted attack during the long march in Wazirabad today.

Fawad said three people were injured in the attack, including Senator Faisal Javed and Ahmad Chattha.

Imran Khan was later seen with a bandage on his right leg just above his foot, reportedly in a blurred image. He was transferred from their container truck to another vehicle from where it was announced he was safe.

“Imran Khan is our reading line”

After a man opened fire on PTI leader Imran Khan to injure him in Gujranwala, party leader Shahbaz Gill said: “Imran Khan is our red line and attempts have been made to cross that red line”.

He also said that Khan would fight to his last breath.

In a video statement on Twitter, Senator Faisal Javed said: “May Allah keep everyone safe and healthy and some of our friends mean it. Wounded, one of our Party employees is told that he was martyred.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for a report on the container shelling in Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that wounded former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The shooting took place in Imran Khan’s container where PTI leaders including Faisal Javed, Ahmed Nasir Chattha, and other party leaders were injured at Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad.

They were immediately taken to the local hospital for medical attention.

On the other hand, the prime minister condemned the shooting in the strongest possible terms and also demanded a report.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also ordered Home Minister Rana Sanaullah, Faisal Shahkar, IG of Punjab Police, and the Chief Secretary of Punjab to come forward immediately.

CM Elahi takes note and asks the IGP to investigate the shooting.

Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi learned of the shooting near PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container in Wazirabad and urged the provincial IGP to file a report after a thorough investigation.

“Those responsible for this incident will soon be brought to justice and the injured will receive the best medical care,” the prime minister said.

Ministers Condemn Incident

On the other hand, the prime minister condemned the shooting in the strongest possible terms and also demanded a report.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also ordered Home Minister Rana Sanaullah, Faisal Shahkar, IG of Punjab Police, and the Chief Secretary of Punjab to come forward immediately.

Later, Rana Sanaullah also tweeted, condemning the attack on the PTI Chairman and ordering the Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab to file a report on the incident.

“A report of the shooting incident has also been requested by federal law enforcement,” the tweet continued.

Meanwhile, German Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal also condemned the incident.

In his tweet, the minister said, “Thank God Imran Niazi is safe,” adding that there was no place for violence in politics.
