Classes of Private schools in Islamabad will reopen from June 7

Private schools in Islamabad are allowed to resume classes twice a week from June 7th.

A notice issued on Friday by the regulator for private educational institutions showed that classes will be resumed in a staggered manner through middle school. Schools have been told to strictly follow Covid-19’s SOPs. Students have to wear masks and distance themselves socially.

The agency will meet again on June 3 to review the trend in coronavirus cases. The decision was made after the infection rate in the capital rose above 5%.

Earlier this week, the NCOC allowed educational institutions to reopen in districts with a virus positivity rate of less than 5%.

On Thursday, the forum decided to vaccinate all teachers across the country with coronavirus injections.

104 people have died from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while 3,070 new cases have been reported. The death toll in the country has passed the 20,000 marks.
