PMDC Exempts Medical And Dental Graduates From The NLE

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has issued permanent licensure certificates to medical and dental graduates without having to take the National Licensing Examination (NLE).

Additionally, PMDC has launched a new interactive online licensing portal that simplifies the registration process and makes it more user-friendly.

1,500 certificates were issued on the first day. PMDC also offers certificates and renewals in good standing, and more than 10,000 local graduates are awaiting permanent registration.

According to PMDC registrar Dr. Suleman Ahmed, the council has taken steps to ensure the reliability of the registration portal and the safe storage of private information. He also mentioned that the Council has put in place a secure payment system for application fees, as well as a system for tracking and monitoring applications.

The PMDC introduced the national registration exam for foreign graduates, which would be a requirement for full registration.

The test includes computer-based multiple-choice questions and a practical component. dr Suleman emphasized that the PMDC is open to input from the medical community and ready to address their concerns.
