Pakistan Sets New Record For T20 Internationals

A bowling masterclass against Hong Kong last night helped Pakistan qualify for the 2022 Asian Cup Super Four match currently being played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Pakistan gave Hong Kong a goal of 194 points in a competitive game for both teams. The Pakistani bowlers outplayed their opponents, sending them off with just 38 points and winning the game with 155 points.

The Greenshirts also set a record for a full team of ICC members, limiting each team to the lowest total. Sri Lanka has held the record since March 2014 after toppling the Netherlands at just 39.

Shadab Khan, the versatile Pakistani vice-captain and game ball, was the bowlers’ choice as he took four wickets and allowed just eight runs. Mohammad Nawaz picked three wickets, Naseem Shah two, and Shahnawaz Dahani one.
