Closure of Schools, Colleges and Universities Extends Till May 23 in Pakistan NCOC

School Opening Date: NCOC allows educational institutions to reopen on a staggered basis starting June 7 with low positivity rate

School Opening Date: The National Command and Operations Center has decided to reopen open-air restaurants and tourist attractions, while educational institutions in separate districts will resume operations from Monday, May 24th.

The forum also enabled the staggered re-opening of educational institutions in counties with a positivity rate of less than 5% since June 7. This was decided today (Wednesday) in a meeting with Planning Minister Asad Umar in the presidency in Islamabad.

Educational institutions in districts with a positivity rate of less than five percent of Covid cases can resume educational activities.

Restaurants stay open until 11:59 p.m., while takeout is permitted 24/7. It was decided to open the tourism sector with strict Covid protocols.

The forum allowed outdoor wedding ceremonies with a maximum of 150 guests from next month after the situation was reviewed on the 27th of that month. It was decided that the education sector would open after the review meeting in addition to those opened from Monday.

NCOC ruled that sanctuaries, cinemas, indoor restaurants, indoor gyms, amusement parks, contact sports, festivals, and public transportation will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday until further review.

He decided that the current land and border policy would be continued until further assignments. The meeting enabled Gadani and Misri Shah Industry to reopen from tomorrow.

All exams for the High School Certificate and High School Certificate take place after the 20th of the following month. However, all technical and non-technical exams are carried out on a case-by-case basis.
