Meghan Markle Talks About The ‘Key To Success’ For Any Working Woman
Meghan Markle recently highlighted some of her holy grail tips for any working woman looking to advance her career.
While referencing her character Rachel Zane on the TV show Suits, the now-royal actress told InStyle magazine in 2015, “I think the most important part of being a boss in the office, at home or anywhere is easy to know their value. I don’t have to make your life your job. I also have to find that balance for myself.”
“Between The Tig [their lifestyle brand] and my time on set or at home, I have to take the time to teach a yoga class or walk my dogs or literally turn it off and meditate for a minute. I think you have to take time for yourself so that work doesn’t become the end of everything.”
“I think in life and in the office it’s better to stay out of the drama. You will be infinitely happy about it. If that’s what you want to do, save it for an after-work drink with your friends.”
“It is important to show your intellectual capacities, even if you are walking around in a pencil skirt. Have power in your wardrobe. If it’s the only dress that makes you feel this [expletive] or that is buttoned up.”
“Anyway, when you wake up on the days you don’t really feel like going to work, you put this piece on and it’s almost like your own anthem. It can really change the energy of the whole day.”

“People often say that you dress for the role you want, not the role you have, and I can’t think of a paralegal dressed like Rachel. She dressed for the role and with the seriousness with which she wanted to be treated.”
Finally, he added: “Rachel’s powerful look is a white button-down shirt with a slightly open collar, rolled up sleeves, and a high-waisted pencil skirt. It’s a look that gives her confidence and looks like she is. really serious.”
