Kassidy Lauzière Cuevas and a Massachusetts man were arrested Saturday morning in Worcester for kidnapping a four-day-old newborn girl.
Police say they were arrested at a Worcester fast food restaurant on Saturday in connection with the kidnapping of a four-day-old girl on the same day.

What Was The Incident?
The mother and the baby were in Lauzière-Cuevas’ car.
When they pulled up to a gas station on Southbridge Street, the mother entered the store and police said Lauzière-Cuevas had left.
The mother came out and called a police officer from Holy Cross who called the Worcester Police Department.
During the search, the police warned the public to watch out for the newborn baby and the cuevas de Lauzière. Anyone with information was asked to call 911.
Officials have received reports that Lauzière-Cuevas may be traveling with Daquan Jefferson, 23, from Worcester.
At approximately 12:05 p.m., officers received a report that a man had left the baby with another person at an underground restaurant at 490 Lincoln St. Worcester.
Authorities said the boy appeared to be safe and sound.
Police subsequently received information that Lauzière-Cuevas and Jefferson were in a Wendy’s on Lincoln Street.
The police found her there and arrested her for kidnapping and recklessly endangering a child.
“WPD found the baby safe. We thank the public for their assistance in this research. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to help us,” the police wrote in a tweet.
Why Kassidy Lauziere Cuevas Arrested?
Police found the Lauzière-Cuevas car about half an hour later in the nearby town of Shrewsbury, but there was no sign of her or the baby, Worcester police said.
Lauzière-Cuevas and Jefferson were charged with kidnapping and recklessly endangering a child.
