Joseph Krol, a drunk pilot, crashed his microlight on Indiana Street and ended up in jail, State Police said.
Krol was arrested Monday afternoon after showing signs of poisoning after being destroyed at the entrance to the Heather Ridge subdivision in St. Joseph County, Indiana State Police said Tuesday.

Miraculously, no one was injured, including Mill Creek’s Krol, who narrowly missed the house and hit a pole. Photos by the state police show the destroyed red plane near a large pillar and on the lawn of a nearby residential building.
Officials who found the microlight, which looked like a small single-engine airplane, said Krol failed a sobriety test at the site of the wreck, state police said.
Upon receiving medical clearance, Krol was rushed to hospital, where he underwent a certified chemical test and was arrested for drunk and drunk surgery. Authorities said he was booked into St. Joseph County Jail.
Krol was later released on bail, WNDU reported. Depending on the broadcaster, it should appear in court on February 7th.
Attempts to reach Krol early Wednesday morning failed. It is not known whether he has hired a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
