Home Office Scams Are On The Rise, Prompting The UAE Govt To Issue Warnings
The Interior Ministry of the United Arab Emirates has publicly warned of the increase in fake SMS and phone calls.
According to the information, scammers claiming to be from the Ministry of Interior sent fake text messages and phone calls to UAE residents, demanding their personal information.
However, the Home Office clarified that it never asks for personal information via text message or phone call. In addition, he stated that he only collects information from local residents in a safe manner through official channels.
It is important that the public remain vigilant when receiving these types of messages or calls claiming to be from the Home Office.
The ministry urged residents not to give details to strangers and to report such incidents to the authorities.
