Holiday Packages Are in High Demand As The UAE Looks Forward To A Long Eid Break

Demand for vacation packages for the Eid Al-Adha holiday has increased among UAE residents. Many take advantage of the overlap between the Eid holiday and the summer school holidays to plan trips to two or more countries.

Residents of the United Arab Emirates will enjoy a six-day public holiday, which is expected to last from Tuesday 27 June to Friday 30 June, including weekends.

Travel to Great Britain, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are in high demand due to the simplified visa procedures for these destinations. However, it remains difficult to obtain visas for other European and Schengen destinations.

For better rates, residents are advised to book trips in advance and save on airfare so they can spend more on leisure activities.

Around 50% of UAE residents focus on leisure holidays, while 25% plan to combine leisure travel with visits to their home country. Another 25% plan to only visit their country of origin.

Preferred travel destinations for UAE residents include visa-free countries such as Kenya, Thailand, Singapore, and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries such as Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Many travelers combine destinations such as Singapore-Malaysia, Bangkok-Pattaya, Switzerland-Paris or Italy, and Georgia-Armenia or Azerbaijan.

European countries are registering an increase in travel demand: around 30% of holidaymakers are planning trips to Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, and the Balkans. The CIS countries continue to enjoy high demand due to their proximity, connectivity, and visa-friendly policies.

Up-and-coming destinations for UAE residents include Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Egypt, Krabi, Trabzon, and Eastern Europe.
