GCC Citizens Can’t Obtain An Emirates ID Simply By Paying A Fee
The United Arab Emirates Federal Agency for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has dismissed a viral fake message about the Emirates’ identification on social media. The misleading message claimed that GCC citizens could obtain an Emirates ID just by paying the fee.
However, ICP clarified that everyone must meet the criteria and process to obtain an Emirates ID card. He urged people to ignore the rumors and check his website and other government channels for correct information.

Emirates ID in 24 Hours
ICP has launched a new service allowing UAE residents to receive their Emirates ID within 24 hours. The service called “Fawri” (Fast in Arabic) can be used by all ages of UAE and GCC citizens.
Non-GCC ex-pats can only use it if they need a replacement for their IDs. Because proof of residence and other procedures are required for the issuance and extension of the identity card. Residents can use Fawri at Customer Satisfaction Centers in the United Arab Emirates.
