Free Google Career Certificates in Pakistan
Google has finally launched career certifications in Pakistan and the official launch of the initiative took place today.
The search engine giant rolled out these professional certifications as part of its Grow With Google program in 2020. Now, two years later, the program is finally available in Pakistan.
The initiative was made possible thanks to supporting from the Rural Management Institute (IRM), the country’s largest education and training institute, and Ignite, a public company that runs digital skills training programs.
Grow With Google Free Courses
Registrants must complete 10 study hours each week to complete the following certifications in six months.
- IT Support
- Project Management
- User Experience Design
- Data Analysis
- IT Automation
- Digital Marketing and Electronic Commerce
These courses are taught on Coursera, a US-based open online course provider founded in 2012 by Stanford University. Interested candidates can first sign up for a 7-day free trial with full access, for which they must then pay a monthly fee or receive financial aid to complete the entire course and earn a certificate.
Certificates for IT Support, UX Design, Project Management, and Data Analysis courses cost $14 per month on Coursera.
In addition, IRM and Ignite award scholarships to deserving/needy students, allowing them to earn certificates for free.

In an official statement, Google said that Pakistan is going online fast and more than 57% of the population is connected to the internet. It shows behavioral change and impacts the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the emerging digital economy.
With Google Career Certificates, registrants can prepare for a new career in a high-growth field in under 6 months with no experience required, the publication added.
