Federal Govt Announced 5 Day Eid Al-Adha Holidays

The federal government announced a five-day Eid-ul-Azha holiday in the country on Sunday.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Eid-ul-Azha holiday will be observed from July 8 to 12 (Friday to Tuesday).

Eid Al-Adha Falls On July 10th

On June 29, the Ruet-e-Hilal Central Committee announced that the Zil-Hajj moon had not been seen in Pakistan, adding that Eid ul Adha would be observed in Pakistan on July 10 (Sunday).

President Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad announced the decision after a committee meeting held in Karachi after Maghreb’s prayers to view the crescent moon.

At a press conference, Azad said there had been no reports of the moon sighting anywhere in the country.

The first day of Zil Hajj would fall on July 1 (Friday), he added.

“May God grant the blessings of the coming days to the entire Islamic world and my beloved country,” he said.
