Tugay Tuncer, Turkey’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), previously visited the Turkish Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, enjoyed the visitor experience, and highlighted the mega business event and investment potential.

Tuncer told Expo News Service that Turkey’s participation in Expo 2020 marked “a new era of cooperation and strengthening ties with the United Arab Emirates.”

Mukerrem Aksoy, Commissioner General of Turkey, highlighted the strength of the country’s agriculture and food sectors in the face of food security challenges: “Turkey produces organic food for everyone.”

“And we are ready to deliver to the world.”

“Our trade with the UAE is $ 8.5 billion and the numbers are increasing; we have seen an increase of almost one hundred percent in the first six months and Expo 2020 will add to that growth,” said the ambassador that seeks to expand trade between the two countries.

“It will show that we can export processed foods, fruits and vegetables, and building materials that this region needs and that Turkey has in abundance.”

“Our construction sector is the second largest in the world,” he added.

Expo 2020 Dubai is expected to boost Turkey’s tourism industry.
