Emirates, one of the world’s leading airlines, has unveiled its latest innovation in air travel, Self Boarding Smart Gates. These gates are designed to allow passengers to board their flights without interaction with the crew, making the process extremely easy.

Passengers simply need to scan their boarding pass to board. The technology uses facial recognition to verify a passenger’s identity and compare it to their boarding pass. The process only takes a few seconds.

Smart gates for self-boarding are currently only operational at select gates at Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3, but the airline plans to roll out the technology at all gates in the future.

Emirates ‘Sara’ Check-in System

Earlier this year, Emirates announced it would launch the world’s first automated check-in system, called Sara, at Dubai airports later this year. The system will speak at least six languages, making it accessible to travelers from different countries.

According to Ade Redha, an Emirates spokeswoman, Sara will help passengers with everything from check-in to hotel reservations.

He also said that travelers’ needs continue to grow, but the airport remains the same. With the launch of Sara, Emirates hopes to better serve its customers through technology.
