Eid Al-Fitr 2023: When Will The Shawwal Moon Be Seen in Pakistan?

Everyone strives to complete their Eid ul Fitr preparations on time, so they’re asking when the holiday will fall.

Moon sightings in Pakistan can be tense as there are sometimes heated arguments over the testimonies from different parts of the nation and decisions are often made at the last moment.

The source told Geo News that when Ramadan has lasted 30 days, the crescent moon signifying the start of Shawwal will be visible, i.e. on Saturday, April 22 when Eid Al-Fitr takes place.

Aijaz also predicted the timing of the moon sighting, stating that the new crescent will be born on April 20 at 9:13 am. and the age of this day will be less than 10 o’clock.

“In order for the crescent to be visible, the duration would have to be greater than 7 p.m. and even if the sky on that day [20. April] were clear, you wouldn’t see the moon,” he said.

Due to the fact that Ramadan will last 30 days and the first Shawwal falls on April 22nd, any statement received on April 20th would be fraudulent.
