Dubai Sees Dramatic Drop in Criminal Activity in 2022

The Dubai Criminal Investigation Department (CID) saw a 63.2% drop in criminal charges in 2022 compared to 2021. Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Force Lt-Gen Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri attributed the massive drop to innovative security measures across the country. the town.

During an annual inspection visit to the CID, Lt. Al Marri made the comments in the presence of senior department officials.

In its report to the Commander-in-Chief, the Dubai Crime Prevention Department said it had arrested around 422 wanted criminals over the past year and also informed the Commander-in-Chief about various ongoing security projects.

Meanwhile, the Tourism Police highlighted its key performance results and activities, including 55 awareness seminars for 4,085 hospitality and tourism workers.

On the other hand, the lost and found department, which showcased its achievement, said it returned more than 745 items to their rightful owners and honored 14 honest people who donated lost items to the police last year.
