Odys Aviation, a US-based hybrid electric aircraft manufacturer, has started operations in the United Arab Emirates. To reduce emissions by 76%, the company will produce electric air taxis that run on zero-carbon fuels. By 2027, the aircraft will be visible in the airspace of the United Arab Emirates.

The electric aircraft will have a range of 1,200 km and will be able to travel 320 km purely electrically. In addition, the air taxi will be able to reduce CO2 emissions by 76% across the Gulf Cooperation Council.

According to the Department of Commerce, the project is part of Odys Aviation’s NextGen FDI program. Odys specializes in manufacturing hybrid-electric aircraft for the transportation of people, goods, and emergency response.

People will be able to use the state-of-the-art facilities in 2027 after a full prototype is launched in 2025.
