Salt Lake Police arrested Buk M. Buk on suspicion of murdering University of Utah football player Aaron Lowe.
Police announced the arrest early Sunday morning, a week after the death of 21-year-old Lowe.
Authorities said Buk was detained on suspicion of serious murder, attempted murder, and the firing of a gun.

His current age is 22 years.

At around 10:30 p.m. on 26th September, the SLCPD received a noise complaint. about a house party on the 2200 block of South Broadmoor Street, near the mouth of Parleys Canyon.
Hours later someone called 911 to report a gunfight and a second person calling 911 said they heard gunfire.
The officers who responded to the call found Lowe and the second person who was shot and provided first aid to both of them.
Police said several people at the party might have witnessed the shooting but left before officers arrived. They hope some of these people have photos or videos that can help clear up the matter.
Buk M. Buk Arrested
Police said Buk was also charged with shooting and injuring a 20-year-old woman on the same day. This victim is still in critical condition.
Buk was found in Draper by investigators from the Salt Lake Police Department and the Utah Violent Fugitive Intention Team.

In a press release released early Sunday morning, Salt Lake Police Chief Mike Brown said:
“When it was necessary, we contacted our congregation. We asked people to come forward and share the information they had. Because of this advice, and our murder detectives’ tireless pursuit of justice, we arrested the person charged with the murder. “By Aaron Löwen”. So many lives have been affected by this senseless shooting I would like to thank professional Salt Lake City Police Department personnel. His dedicated work of checking every lead and piece of evidence led to this arrest.”
