Bella Ravoyan was reportedly kidnapped by a family after she refused to marry a Russian.
Video footage shows two men pulling Ravoyan out of a building in Tambov, in the western part of the country. She reportedly rejected 20-year-old Amik Shamoyan after she turned 18.
An acquaintance told gazeta.ru: “Amik was in love with this girl and she was kidnapped.”

A shocking video has captured the moment a Russian man kidnapped an 18-year-old woman in a medieval custom known as “bride stealing” after she refused to marry him. Three men carry Bella Ravoyan from an apartment building in the city of Tambov and put her in a car that took her to the Nizhny Novgorod region, East2West reported.
Police identified her kidnappers when she turned away her boyfriend Amik Shamoyan, 20, her father Oganes, 48, and her brother Alo, 24.
“Amik was in love with this girl and they kidnapped her,” a source told the local newspaper Gazeta.
“Bella’s father reported it to the police and she was fired. Amik turned himself into the police,” the person added. The despised man confessed to the kidnapping, according to East2West.
Another video reportedly shows Bella’s angry father vandalizing a coffee shop owned by the alleged kidnappers’ family while brandishing a gun. Oganes and Alo are free. All three men face up to 12 years in prison if convicted.
