On July 20, 2013, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Rawalpindi, declared his Intermediate Degree, which bears the serial number of a male candidate named Imdad Hussain, to be ‘false’.
Parents and Siblings
Ayla comes from a family of politicians. Ayla, one of the granddaughters of Malik Amir Mohammad Khan of Kalabagh, served as the governor of West Pakistan. She is the sister of politician Sumaira Malik.
She is also the niece of Sardar Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, former President of Pakistan.
Husband and Children
Ayla was previously married to the Pakistani politician Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind. Their marriage, unfortunately, ended in divorce a few years after they tied the knot. The separation came about due to differences in their aspirations; Yar Muhammad sought to keep Ayla within the confines of their home. Despite their parting, the former couple shares two children.
One of Ayla’s children, her daughter Myra Malik, went on to marry Amir Malik, who is also involved in politics.
Relatives
Ayla Malik is the descendant of Nawab of Kalabagh, Malik Amir Mohammad Khan, known for his prominent role as the Governor of West Pakistan during the 1960s. In his earlier years, Amir Mohammad Khan garnered notoriety for his authoritative leadership.
Tragically, his life came to an abrupt and violent end when his son, Asadullah Khan, fatally shot him on November 26, 1967, during a dispute over family property.

There have been ongoing rumors suggesting that Ayla has been involved in a romantic relationship with Imran Khan for an extended period. In 2009, Imran even made an appearance on Ayla’s talk show.
Ayla was so enamored by Imran during that era that, at one of the events, she affectionately referred to him as the “hero of Pakistan.” Furthermore, it’s worth noting that Reham Khan, Imran Khan’s ex-wife, mentioned their relationship in her book.
Ayla Malik’s Political Career
In 1998 she entered politics by joining the Farooq Leghari-led Millat Party. From 2002 to 2007 she represented the National Alliance (Pakistan) as an MP and during this time served as deputy general secretary of the Millat party.
Ayla Malik joined Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2011 and, as a senior member of the party, was on the priority list for a reserved seat in the National Assembly.
However, the party failed to secure enough seats to propose to Parliament. Ayla was the campaign manager for the party in the region where PTI won all the seats, so PTI leader Imran Khan decided to run her in the by-election for her hometown of Mianwali seat after opting to stay with Rawalpindi.
Ayla Malik was injured on 10th May 2013 when unidentified gunmen opened fire on her convoy in Mianwali.
Ayla Malik Fake Degree Case
Ayla Malik was disqualified by a two-member Electoral Tribunal (ET) of the Rawalpindi Court of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on 30 July 2013 for submitting a forged interim diploma to the Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP).
Ayla Malik was found ineligible during the hearing of the motion by the ET LHC, which consisted of Judge Mamoon Rasheed and Judge Ayesha A Malik.
