Who is Alexander Hicken Gymnastics? Biography, Wiki

Alexander Hicken is a former British national team gymnast convicted of sexual assault after assaulting a drunk woman.

Hicken, now a trainer at a well-known gymnastics school, took advantage of his drunk victim after being put to bed at a party because she was so drunk.

Alexander Hicken’s Age

His current age is 23 years.

What Was The Incident?

The 23-year-old bike trainer, who had a girlfriend, ignored the woman’s request to stop during the eight-hour trial and sexually touched her repeatedly in August 2019.

The disgraced gymnast, who represented the UK youth team at the Gymnastics World Championships in Loule, Portugal, in 2012, faces jail after unanimous jury conviction after a four-day trial.

Prosecutor Emily Cook said Hicken’s victim, who was having nightmares, drank so much lambrini and vodka jelly that they had to put her to bed at the party.

Ms Cook told Winchester Crown Court in Hampshire that the woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, “was so drunk that she got sick every time she moved in”.

Hicken, who teaches children at Basingstoke Gymnastics Club, sat on the edge of the bed, rubbed her thighs and buttocks, and was told to leave her room before going to the pub with others.

Ms Cook said: “On the way to the pub Alex Hicken made complaints about the victim and said he was going to sleep with her and then he said,’ Oops, I shouldn’t have said that.”

What’s The Trial?

A witness said he heard Hicken say, “I’m going to f**k her” during their party.

When he got home he was “not done” with her and he was touching and kissing her sexually but was surprised to see other people coming up the stairs.

The victim said: “I remember waking up and Alex standing in the doorway. I enter. I asked him what he was doing.”

“He said at the time, ‘You just want a f**k or something,’ I said, ‘I don’t.'”

“Then he went to my bed and I asked him what he was doing. He said he just wanted a hug. I told him I wouldn’t take it off because I didn’t want it.”

Hicken sexually assaulted his victim for eight consecutive hours.

He put his hand on her thigh and butt on several occasions, even though he told her to stop and remind her that he had a girlfriend.

Hicken also tried to put her tongue in the victim’s mouth after she fell ill and grabbed her body over her clothes as she lay ‘scared’ and ‘crying’.

The court heard that the woman conducted 27 telephone searches for sexual assault within two days of the attack.

These include “how to deal with sexual assault”, “the psychological effects of sexual assault and abuse” and “rape and sexual abuse hotlines”.

Sexually Assaulted Drunk Woman Friend’s Statement

Friends of the victim said the August 2019 incident ‘changed’ her and was ‘disturbed’.

A friend told the court: “It was almost as if the person I was with every other day was not there. It was almost as if she wasn’t.”

“(She was) pretty upset in a way I’ve never seen before. She usually grabs things by the chin, but it hit her, so I knew something bad had happened.”

The victim also said, “I rehearsed (nightmares). It was every night for a few months.”

“They were the same every night. I wake up in a panic and have to check that he’s not in the room.”

Hicken went to court with his social worker mother and his deputy head father.

He has denied the allegations and members of the Basingstoke Gymnastics Club have spoken in his defense.

Hicken will be tried at Winchester Crown Court in October.
