Alec Baldwin returns to work after filming Rust and says it’s ‘strange’

Alec Baldwin returned to work for the first time after the death of Rust’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

In an Instagram video on Tuesday, Baldwin reflected on his return to work after hopping into a cab in the UK for his latest project.

“I said I would keep a little journal of my travels and work,” the 63-year-old actor said in the video.

“We had our first day today, which is tough. I don’t work as hard as I used to.”

He continued: “It’s strange to be back at work. I haven’t worked since October 21st last year when something horrific happened on the set of this film and the death of our cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins.”

“It’s still hard for me to say,” Baldwin said. “I went back to work today for the first time in three and a half months. The films are almost always the same. Everyone is young compared to me. Especially independent films where there are really good people.”

While speaking about his family, Baldwin revealed that he misses his six children with his wife Hilaria Baldwin.

“I miss my kids, I miss my Carmen, she’s very funny,” he said.

“All my children are so unique. They can’t understand how different they are, so different, my children are so different.”

For the uninitiated, in October, Baldwin accidentally shot and killed 42-year-old Halyna and director Joel Souza during a camera test at Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico, but Halyna did not survive her injuries.
