100,000 plus customers in Michigan are without power after suspected series of severe storms and tornadoes that devastated the state Saturday night.

DTE Energy’s blackout map showed 110,510 customers without power as a result of the storm, with the blackout area stretching from Lansing to Detroit, a distance of 90 miles.

The company has 91 teams in the field, according to the official website.

A suspected tornado has struck Armada, Michigan, according to Macomb County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Renee Yax. Armada is about 44 miles northeast of Detroit.

The sheriff’s office has units that are responding and asking people to avoid the area as severe storms roll in, Some media spokesperson told the online newspaper Saturday night. Parts of eastern Michigan will remain under surveillance until 11 p.m. due to strong thunderstorms.

No casualties have been reported, a sheriff’s sergeant told an online newspaper, but damage to homes was reported and roads were closed due to falling trees.

Video from some official media representative shows a collapsed house and another with driftwood in the yard after the storm.

Around 8:30 p.m., a tornado warning was in effect west of Detroit.
