Authorities said William Quince Colburn was a South Texas teenager who murdered three of his relatives, posted graphic photos of his massacre on social media, and then killed himself when police approached.
Authorities said Quince Colburn shot and killed William Colburn Jr., 63, Janna Colburn, 53, and Emma Colburn, 13 in an RV near Aransas Pass.

His current age was 15 years.
A Teenager Murdered His Family
A young man posted photos of his deceased family members on the Internet and then allegedly threatened a school with violence.
Aransas Pass Police and the Sheriff’s Office located the RV at the Aransas Oaks RV Resort at 2250 S. Commercial Drive. The young suspect who was in the trailer refused to come out.
Police said they only heard a shot and a thud afterward. When they got into the trailer, they found the family, including the boy, dead.
Police said the suspect killed his family and pets and then pointed the gun at him.
As per Oscar Rivera of the San Patricio County’s Sheriff’s Office, the victims were identified as follows:
- William Quince Colburn Jr., 62 years old
- Jana Colburn, 53
- Emma Colburn, 13 years old
William Quince Colburn Killed Himself
Police officers began investigating Colburn after being drawn to disturbing pictures he posted in a group on social media on Wednesday, the Aransas Pass Police Department said in a statement.
In the letter, Colburn threatened to continue the violence at a school, authorities said.
Police found the teenager in a trailer park near Aransas Pass Wednesday night, authorities said. When asked to leave, the police said he refused.
Then the authorities heard a gunshot and the police announced that a person fell to the ground.
When police officers entered the trailer, they found Colburn dead from a gunshot wound along with the bodies of three other victims, the police said.

What Police Have Investigated Up Till Now?
San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera said Colburn III and the three victims were linked, but he did not yet know the details.
Investigators also found the bodies of two dogs in the caravan, authorities said.
Police said that if it hadn’t been for the “quick action” by the social networking site and other youth members of the group where the threat was posted, “we may have been working on an event again. Even more tragic this morning.”
“I’m glad we found him before something worse happens,” said Rivera.
It was not known which school the teenager was targeted at as he was not enrolled in any local school and was apparently homeschooled.
“I don’t know which school he was trying to attack, but he definitely had the guns and ammunition for it,” said Rivera.
