According to a recent survey by YouGov, a public opinion and information company, cash is the most coveted Eid gift for 2023 among residents of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Other popular options include clothing, shoes, spiritual spa gifts, and gift cards or coupons.

The survey also revealed that many UAE residents plan to donate money during Ramadan while their Saudi counterparts want to go on family vacations.

Most respondents (54%) prefer to stick to a budget when buying Eid gifts, while only a small percentage (18%) prefer to spend unlimited on Eid gifts.

When it comes to where people are looking for gift ideas, social media ranks first, followed by shop browsing, websites, and suggestions from friends and family.

Conducted through interviews with 2,023 adults in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, the survey provides valuable insight into the gift-giving habits and preferences of residents of both countries.

Ramadan And Eid-ul-Fitr in The United Arab Emirates And Saudi Arabia

In the United Arab Emirates, Ramadan is expected to begin on Thursday 23 March. It lasts 29 days and Eid-ul-Fitr falls on Friday, April 21st.

In Saudi Arabia, Ramadan begins on Wednesday, March 22nd and Eid-ul-Fitr falls on Thursday, April 20th.

However, the confirmed dates for Ramadan will only be announced by the lunar observation authorities of the two countries.
