Punjab Govt Denies To Extend The Complete Lockdown

In Punjab, the NCOC rejected the Interior Ministry’s proposal to extend the lockdown by a week. A special session of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Asad Omar.

The meeting approved the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The NCOC has rejected the Interior Ministry’s proposal to extend the lockdown in Punjab by a week.

According to sources, the Interior Ministry suggested that the Punjab government step up the blockade. According to sources, the closure should be extended for another week.

If you add another week to the embargo, you can fight the crown. The sources said that if the lockdown is not increased after May 16, the smart lockdown will be reinforced. The opening hours of the markets will not be changed. All markets will close at 6 am and the movement of citizens will also be restricted.

On the other hand, 196 new cases of the corona were reported within 24 hours. The total number of corona deaths in the city was 3,822. 12,530 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

771 corona patients are treated in public and private hospitals, 579 corona patients are treated in the government, and 192 in private hospitals. The condition of 206 patients treated in the city’s hospitals is said to be critical.
