KHDA And Dubai Culture Release New Heritage Book On Al Marmoom

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority, in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), has launched a new book that explores the heritage and life of the Emirati in the Al Marmoom area of Dubai, the largest unfenced conservation area in the United States. documents Arab Emirates. Written by Emirati writer and researcher Juma Khalifa bin Thalith, Al Marmoom is the first heritage book developed by KHDA in collaboration with Dubai Culture and published at Al Safa Library of Art and Design.

The opening took place during a panel discussion organized by the library in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Karam, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, and Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Culture and Arts Dubai.

Dr. Abdulla Al Karam said: “Al Marmoom has become a destination for those who want to experience the beauty of the desert and the peculiarities of the Emirati heritage. The book tells the story of Al Marmoom’s rich environmental and social heritage and provides cultural and educational content that will inspire future generations.”

“I sincerely thank my colleagues in the various government organizations who have helped make Al Marmoom a destination of happiness and a way of life for the future.”

Hala Badri said: “The desert has always been a symbol of inspiration in UAE culture and society. Our wise leadership strives to preserve the environment and its bounty, having created the Al Marmoom Reserve to become the premier eco-tourism destination, a sign of the unique vision and extraordinary thinking we know.”

It highlights the concept of sustainability rooted in the values of Emirati society. We appreciate the great effort that has gone into bringing this heritage book about the Al Marmoom region to market and making it available in schools. The book documents a country’s history and civilization and shows the determination that makes wishes and miracles come true. It strengthens our country’s position as a meeting point for culture, entertainment, sports, tourism, and environmental awareness.”
