IBCC Issues Important Guidelines Regarding Matric and Inter Exams This Year

The Inter Board Committee Chairmen (IBCC) have drawn up important guidelines for students and teachers that must be observed for matric and intermediate board exams this year.

This was done on the instructions of the Federal Minister for Education and Training, Shafqat Mahmood. When issuing the health guidelines, the Department of Education said it is the shared responsibility of students, teachers and exam staff to implement COVID-19 Standard Operating Instructions (SOPs) during the committee’s reviews.

As per the official news source, exam rooms are regularly disinfected and cleaned to reduce the risk of infection.

The candidates must strictly adhere to the mask requirement and social distancing during the exams and must leave the room individually after each board exam.

The temperatures of employees and candidates are measured daily at the entrance door and they are asked to disinfect their hands before entering the examination rooms. Applicants and parents have already been assured that only fully vaccinated staff will be allowed to work in examination centers.

There will also be separate drinking glasses for each student to minimize the spread of the coronavirus.

Each examination center will have spacious seating to ensure a minimum distance of two meters between candidates, with no more than 50 seats in each room.

The 10th board exams start on Monday, July 12th and end on July 30th, the intermediate exams will take place between July 10th to July 30th.
