Heiry Calvi is a pregnant Doral teacher who is arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old boy.
In March, Doral police said Calvi received a recommendation from the Department of Children and Families regarding John I. Smith’s K-8 teacher.

Heiry Calvi Arrested For Inappropriate Relationship With Student
Police said the school removed her from the classroom and put her on administrative duties where she had no contact with students.
Calvi faces multiple charges, including government crimes against students, neglect of children without serious injury, and possession of a firearm on school premises.
As per the police report, this weapon was found in her car after a traffic stop on October 8. It was a 9mm Glock 43 loaded with a round in the chamber.
As per the report, Calvi told police the gun belonged to her husband and she was still in the vehicle.
She worked at the Northeast Transportation Center in Miami-Dade schools and thus brought the weapon onto MDCPS property, according to the report.
The report also indicates that the teenager told investigators that all of her sexual relationships with Calvi were consensual.
She is also exposed to an obscene and lewd battery charge, even from the Doral Police Department.
The victim had disturbing photos, videos, and even her credit card.
What Was The School’s Statement?
Miami-Dade County Public Schools made the following statement regarding the arrest:
“Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is disrupted by today’s arrest due to inappropriate employee behavior. When the district learned of these allegations in March, the employee was immediately transferred to an extracurricular location. The district will initiate a termination process and ensure that the person cannot seek future employment in this school system. M-DCPS will continue to review the training of its employees to ensure that our employees are fully aware of the district’s professional expectations and its ethical obligations to protect children.”
This week, Calvi is the third South Florida teacher to be accused of misconduct with a student.
