FPSC Postpones all the exams including CSS 2021 due to Coronavirus

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has postponed all the exams including CSS 2021 scheduled for May and June due to the ongoing third wave of coronavirus.

According to the official announcement, the exams will be postponed until there are new orders and the Commission will announce new dates for the exams accordingly.

Here is the list of all the exams which FPSC has postponed:

  • General selection examination phase 1/2021 (announcement 5-10 / 2020)
  • FSP, PAAS, C & TG, ML & CG and OMG FPOE
  • Section Officer Promotional Exam (SOPE)
  • Appointment by transfer in OMG exam
  • Survey of Pakistan
  • Regularization of contract staff

Earlier this month, FPSC announced the final result of the CSS 2020 exam.

39,630 candidates had originally applied for the CSS 2020 exams, while 18,553 appeared in the written part and 376 were passed. Of 376, 221 candidates were assigned to various groups and services against BS-17 positions under the federal government.

In particular, the success rate for the CSS 2020 exams fell from 2.51% in the CSS 2019 to 1.96%.
