The Dubai police had previously warned of the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. In a video statement, police dubbed CO a “silent killer” due to his colorless and odorless nature, making his pursuit difficult.
CO is mainly emitted from cars, small engines, stoves, fireplaces, and other devices. If it accumulates indoors, it can be extremely dangerous and can cause death.
To prevent CO poisoning, people are advised to provide adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces, use locally approved heating and cooling equipment, and install a CO detector in their homes.
