Dua Lipa Cancels Concert Because Of “Doctor’s Orders”: “My Heart Is Broken”
English singer Dua Lipa is heartbroken after canceling her long-awaited concert.
The singer, who was due to perform next week in New York with stars like Lil Nas X and Ed Sheeran on iHeartRadio KIIS FM Jingle Ball, resigned after being diagnosed with laryngitis.
On Friday, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to share her “crush” when she broke the news.
“It breaks my heart to tell you that I cannot play the iHeartRadio KISS FM Jingle Ball due to a swollen larynx,” she began her moving statement on Friday night.
“By order of my doctor today, I have to take a break from my voice in the next few days to fully heal.”
She continued, “I am so sorry to all of my fans and I am truly grateful for your understanding. Jingle Ball has an outstanding lineup of amazing achievements for all of you that I am sure you will enjoy.”
Before signing, Dua Lipa assured fans that she would be back soon. “I’m sending my love and I hope to get back on stage very soon!”
