A plane crashed shortly after taking off from Nellis Air Force Base on Monday afternoon. The base officials tweeted.

The “contractor-operated aircraft” crashed outside the southern edge of the base at around 2:30 pm. Local time according to official information.

A contractor-operated aircraft that took off from Nellis Air Force Base crashed at approximately 2:30 p.m. May 24 outside the southern edge of the base. Multiple federal and local first responders are on scene. The incident is under investigation.

It is not immediately known if there have been any injuries or deaths, authorities said.

According to official sources, several federal and local first responders are on-site to investigate.
