Last week, Apple unveiled the new iPad Pro Duo and M2 Mac during its Springloaded event. At the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, which should begin on June 7th, the company will now introduce larger MacBook Pro models with a faster processor.

Cupertino is partnering with TSMC to mass-produce the Apple M2 chipset, according to the latest report from Nikkei Asia (or maybe it’s called the M1X). In this case, the company will deliver its first devices in July.

The version shows that the M2 is manufactured using a new N5P process. Existing M1 chips are based on the N5 process for those who are not familiar with it.

The new architecture will improve speed by 20 percent and reduce power consumption by 40 percent compared to the old N7 process (7 nm).

In addition, additional GPU and CPU cores must be added to the new chipset. The current M1 chip is equipped with 4 large (and 4 small) CPU cores and 7 or 8 GPU cores.

M1 computers revitalized Apple’s computing business last year, and Macs with the M2 chipset are expected to continue to improve the company. The company shipped 23 million Macs in 12 months last year, a 29.1% increase.
