Instagram creator Alisha Hamirani filmed herself in the bustling Gold Souk area. She placed her Hermès Birkin bag i.e. a item valued at roughly AED 100,000—on a public step. Then she turned, walked to the water, and paid one dirham for a ride on a wooden Abra across the creek to Bur Dubai. She left the bag behind, unattended, with no one watching it.

In the clip, she admits the move seems reckless. She jokes that a previous stunt with a Dior bag made her husband nervous for a full year. As the small boat chugged across the murky water, her confidence wavered. The Abra was nearly empty. The minutes stretched and she shocked if her trust was misplaced.
The camera followed her walk back to the exact spot. She paused and there it was. The tan bag sat precisely as she had left it. No one had moved it. No one had touched it.
