Dolores Janney Jenni Rivera Saavedra, a renowned singer, was born on 2nd July 1969 in Long Beach, California.
Rivera first rose to prominence after the release of her album Si Quieres Verme Llorar in the late 1990s. She then released 10 more studio albums before she died.
In addition, Rivera has collaborated with several well-known Latino musicians such as Tito El Bambino and Marco Antonio Sols.
The four-time Grammy nominee sold more than 25 million records before her death.

Because of her involvement with the regional Mexican music genre, JENNI Rivera topped the Billboard Latino charts in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Her tragic death on 9th December 2012 in Mexico left many curious about what happened.
On 9th December just hours after playing to a packed house in Monterrey, Mexico, Rivera boarded a plane to Toluca for another scheduled concert.
She was traveling in a Learjet 25, but she crashed in northern Mexico before she could reach his destination.
In addition to two crew members, the plane carried five passengers, including Rivera’s lawyer Mario Macías Pacheco, makeup artist Jacobo Yebale, publicist Arturo Rivera, and stylist Jorge Armando Sánchez Vásquez. All five passengers died at the scene.
Although an investigation was launched after the collision because the damage was said to be very severe, not much is known about it, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Investigations ruled out weather conditions as a cause, and Mexico’s General Civil Aviation Administration later cited a number of additional scenarios, the Los Angeles Daily News reports. These included a sudden loss of control caused by a failed elevator or the age of the aircraft.
According to the Los Angeles Times, a Los Angeles judge entered a default judgment against the plane’s owner, Starwood Management Inc., and awarded the families of Rivera’s entourage a $70 million payment in the wake of the tragedy.
“It is a closure for the families that Starwood has been held responsible for this tragedy,” said families’ attorney Paul R. Kiesel after the verdict.
“Now begins the next chapter to undo the significant damage caused by this loss.”
