In The UAE, More Than 300,000 Websites Are Now Registered Under The .ae Domain
The UAE’s Digital Government and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has announced an impressive achievement in the country’s online landscape.
In 2022, more than 46,000 new domain names were registered under the UAE national domain .ae. This increased the total number of registered domains to 300,000 in the first quarter (Q1) of 2023.
This growth of almost 20% makes .ae the most-used country domain in the United Arab Emirates and the fastest-growing in the entire Arab world.
The .ae domain offers several features, including the availability of unique and easily recognizable names and abbreviations. This allows individuals and businesses to customize their online presence to match their official websites, brands, email addresses, or blogs.
Registering a .ae domain name is a simple and automated process that only takes a few minutes. Interested parties can choose from a list of TDRA-approved registrars available on the official TDRA website.
Director of TDRA’s Policy and Programs Division, Abdulrahman Al Marzouqi, emphasized the benefits of using the .ae domain. He said the UAE has the most advanced and competitive economy in the region. This benefit inspires trust among customers and partners who connect the organization to the domain, he added.
Larger international companies such as Amazon and Google are among the many organizations using the .ae domain.
